It's Nice to Start Your Life at 29

Since I graduated from high school, I coached my Alma Mater's Dance Drill Team. I dedicated 12 long years of my life to high school kids...teaching them not only how to dance, but how to be responsible & not so annoying. I finally retired this year from being the Director & I feel like my life is finally starting. I guess I have sort of felt like the last 12 years was an extension from high school. I was still always around teenagers, & also had a lot of drama in my life still. Now that I have had a whole month to myself, I really like being an adult! Hahaha! It's nice to concentrate on myself & spend time in my home. Since I bought my home in September of last year, I didn't spend 1 weekend there because of the Dance Team. I always slept at my parent's house on the weekends since I had to be there for Dance. Anyway, I retired I now I am taking my life back!! And what better way to do that, than to have a partay?!!!!
First...please enjoy a moonwalk dance off between brothers. Who do you think should win? Jeff or Dan?

I hope you enjoyed the dance-off! Feel free to comment on who you think was better. =oD

Naturally, I MUST take a picture of Casey taking a picture. It's a longtime tradition!

One of my most beautiful friends, Nicole.

Drunk?

Zac & Jenny

I know....I look naked. Strapless dresses can be deceiving on close-up pictures!!

My old coaches- Julian (he's the crazy one taking over the Dance Drill Team for me!), Greg, & Blair. They got super lost & it took them 2 hours to get from Cerritos to Santa Ana. Love it!

Jeff's pretty face & Casey in her cute Target dress!

Jeff is still making his pretty face!

I'm glad my friend Gary made it out! I hope he wasn't too traumatized by our crazy talk!

CLo & Me...I look very bad in this picture!

Zac, Jeff, Casey, & Me with LOTS of lasagna in our hands!

I love Jenny!

Twin sandwich!
Overall, it was a very fun party. I would like to say thank you to all my family & friends who have hugely supported me all these years. Looking back, I can't believe I directed the Dance Team for so long. BUT, I wouldn't change it for anything. I learned a lot about myself & what I am capable of. It's funny how being a part of a team like that can make you learn so much more about people & life. I will miss the Dance Team, but I am looking forward to what my future brings.
Here are 10 things I would like to do now that I have my life back:
1. Lose 20 pounds
2. Try getting a spray tan
3. Take Ballroom
4. Go bungee jumping
5. Start painting again (yes, I used to paint)
6. Write a short story
7. Maybe find a good man....that might be good
8. Start my own business
9. Not turn 30
10. Go to Europe

Blizzard Picnicing

A few weekends ago I went to a Blizzard Entertainment picnic. My friends Megan & Jenny work there & May was nice enough to take me, Casey, Carrie, & Zac. Blizzard really treats their employees well because there were games, food, drinks, ice cream, air brush tattoos, a pool tournament, 10 hole miniature golf, boat rides, a DJ, & so many other things that I cannot even remember!! Here are some of the photos I took while there. So much fun!!!
This is sort of a strange angle, but I like the picture a lot! It was a super hot day!

Megan & Zac playing soccer. So cute!

Casey with her new camera. Woot!

After we took lots of pictures together, we played Frisbee. I can't even remember the last time I threw a Frisbee...SO much fun! I tried to get pictures of everyone, except me of course!

Even though it was really hot that day, we all had so much fun just hanging out. Thanks Megan & Jenny!! =0D

Beyonce So Cool

Earlier this month I took my girlfriend Megan to go see Beyonce. I think this was the best concert I have ever been to! Beyonce rocked it with her new album, her old albums, & even songs from her Destiny's Child days. You could tell she wasn't lip syncing & WOW does she have an amazing voice!!! I just don't think it's fair that one person should be so good at singing, dancing, & even acting! WTF?! I really admire & love Beyonce so much more after going to see her in concert. I am officially creepy obsessed! Haha!

Below are some of my favorite pictures from that night. You may think there are a lot, but I took over 200 pictures! Don't worry, I didn't post them all. =oD

She had this amazing screen behind her that projected some super cool live videos & even short movie type "skits" (for lack of better term). Her back up dancers had really cool afros!!!

Hellllllooooooo back up dancer! Look at that guys chest. Ummmm....yeah....no comment. =oD Her guy back up dancers were HOT!

I liked these graphics on the screen. Super cool.

I HEART Johnny Depp

I was on Yahoo! this morning & came across this article about Comic-Con. Tim Burton, who was there to promote his Alice in Wonderland movie (which I have already blogged about), brought Johnny Depp there to surprise everyone. Awesome! At the bottom of the article they have a teaser trailer of Alice in Wonderland & this gets me very excited!!!! Click on the link below to see the article & trailer.

I just LOVE Johnny Depp. Even the Facebook quiz says he's my soulmate!!!! Hahaha!!!

Wednesday night on So You Think You Can Dance, which is one of my favorite reality shows, I was moved to tears by this routine. It is of contestants Ade (whom I love) & Melissa & was choreographed by Tyce Diorio. It is a tribute to everyone who is affected by Breast Cancer. I have lost a lot of loved ones to cancer & this routine is so beautiful, emotional, & raw. I love it & it makes me miss dancing...

4th of July Weekend

I had a great few days with friends last weekend! First of all, I (as well as many other people) had Friday off for the 4th. Woot! Friday just so happened to be Carrie's birthday so we started the weekend at Me N Ed's & had some super yummy pizza. We then ended up at the Logue Manor after pizza fun for some good beer drinking. I have no pictures from that night, but I have posted a video I took on my phone of my drunk friends playing Twister (Zac & Megan's gift to CLo). The video quality isn't that great, but it's super hilarious!! I'm sure some will be mad I posted this, but I do not care. And yes...Manuel is in his boxers. The last 30 seconds of the video are the best!! =oD

Then the 4th of July is Jeff's birthday so Carrie & Daniel opened up their home to everyone again. We ate good food, had lots of laughs, & of course there were shenanigans! I have posted some pictures of the 4th below, along with some very funny videos. I love my friends!!

Here is Daniel showing Dave (who you cannot see) part of their Southland Brewing stuff. Daniel, Jeff, & Dave are starting a brewing company & apparently their beer is super good! I don't know from experience since I'm highly allergic, but I trust what everyone says. I think this will take off for them. It's exciting to have entrepreneurial friends. Does that make sense? Whatever, you know what I mean!

Here are Daniel, Jeff, & Dave (from left to right). Daniel is holding some Everclear spray bottle. I assume it's alcohol...I have no idea what's going on here.

Daniel is spraying this toxic stuff into his mouth. Blet...

Casey, Daniel, & Zac are chillin' on the couch. Casey & Zac are enjoying some of the Wallace's wonderful Jello shots.

A wonderful picture of Jenny. I love it!

Manuel, Carrie, & Zac are laughing at someone. Now sure who. But in Carrie's hand are those little Fun Snaps that you throw on the ground & they pop. Soooo...click on the 2 videos below to see what my friends do with them.

Awesome!!

Once it got dark, we went to the front of the house to play with fireworks. I haven't played with Sparklers or fireworks since I was a kid. Super fun! Birthday Boy!

Casey, me, & Megan. I like this picture of us!

Speedy & Zac trying to light themselves on fire...

Why do boys do stupid things?

Thanks to Carrie & Daniel for a super fun 4th & for buying all those fireworks! It was so much fun. I hope Carrie & Jeff both had good birthdays. What a great 2 days!!!
Sunday I watched "Up" at the El Capitan Theater with Michelle Groom & her kids. Nicole was dancing in the pre-show (she was great!) so i decided to go up to Hollywood to see the movie. It was so cute! I totally cried. Then my dad BBQ'd burgers for dinner & I watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I forgot how cute that movie was. Dick Van Dyke is so cool. The songs were funny & it brought me back to my days of being a kid...watching that movie is one of the few things I remember from my childhood. Strange that I can hardly remember anything....but I can't. Anyway, long weekends ROCK!!
