We lost some major Icons this week. I cannot believe 2 in one day. Here are some pictures of the 3 people who have passed on. My thoughts & prayers go out to all the loved ones they have left behind.
I remember watching Johnny Carson when I was a kid & hearing "Heeeeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!". People say when you heard that phrase, you knew something great was starting. I truly believe that!
Star Search discovered some great pop talents of our time. I will always remember Ed McMahon in Star Search, Johnny Carson, & American Family Publishers Sweepstakes. Peace be with you Ed.
This poster made Farrah Fawcett a sex symbol in the 70's. Charlie's Angels was what made her famous even though she was only on it for 1 season.
I love people who start trends. Farrah's hair sure did start a trend! It even came back around recently. I respect her for her very public battle with cancer. She seemed so brave & I feel for her loved ones who had to watch her suffer. She is in a better place now, at rest & free from pain.
I think this was the most shocking loss of the week. It was so sudden. I am sad to learn that the King of Pop is no more. Regardless of all the crazy things Michael Jackson has done the past few years & all the controversy he has been involved in, he remains one of my favorite artists of all time. The person he was aside, Michael Jackson formed dance in only a way that he could have done. I think Smooth Criminal is one of the best videos EVER. MJ influenced almost all of the Pop & Hip Hop Artists of our generation.
Rest in Peace Michael Jackson. This is the Michael that I love.
I am a single woman who loves fashion, dance, art, & music. Family is very important to me, as well as friends. I am caring, giving, & usually outgoing. I absolutely love food, so you may see a lot of posts about new discoveries or my favorites places to eat. I live by the words "Everything happens for a reason" & "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you".
